Amusement Park Turnstiles Solution by FDC
In September of this year FDC was brought in to custom build an access solution for Skywheel in Panama City Beach, FL involving amusement park turnstiles. This giant Ferris wheel overlooks the Gulf of Mexico and Pier Park, and has 12 entry/exits that needed to be controlled with individual pedestrian gates. This large amusement can be loaded five gondolas at a time.
FDC’s custom built cabinet houses the controls for each bi-parting wing gate, which allow the operator to open/close access to each loading lane for the ride either individually or all at once. Five buttons control entry with two buttons that open all or close all at any given time. Three buttons control the exit, left, right and center. Two more buttons offer the open all and close all options for the exit side as well.
