Do you offer 24/7 service?

Yes!

Utilities and Parking Garages cannot afford to have down time or non-working gates, so we are available 24/7 to keep them up and running.  Emergency rates apply.

Will the new telephone entry system work with my existing gate operators?

Most likely yes.  We will verify compatibility before proposing a solution.

Will the new access control card reader utilize my existing locks?

Yes!

Customers often don’t know if a new access or telephone entry system will work with (interface or connect to) their current locks or gate operators.  We know it is not a problem but they are often concerned with compatibility between new products and existing.

Do you offer service contracts?

Yes!

We have various levels of service agreements available, which are detailed here (http://www.fdc.com/service-repair/service-plans.html).  Service contracts are also available at a discounted rate on new FDC installations.  Ask your sales representative.

Will you service my equipment without a service contract in place?

Yes!

Do you provide service outside of Florida?

 On occassion.

We have made trips to the Caribbean islands to do installations and service for specific clients.  We have also travelled to North Carolina for some other large clients.  It really depends on the needs of the customer.

What happens if I have a problem during the warranty period?

We will diagnose on site and provide replacement parts and repairs as needed at no charge.

How long will the gate operator last, when should I budget for replacement?

 Most gate operators last 7-10 years on average.

What periodic maintenance is required for the equipment?

Gate Operator MaintenanceRegular checks should be done to check on belts, wheels, etc.  Keep dirt & debris off of v-track if possible.  Keeping equipment in tip-top shape helps it last longer and reduces problems.  See our available service plans for more info.

How long has your company been in business?

 We’ve been in business since summer of 1978.

Why do you make most of your gates from aluminum?

 Aluminum is lightweight, and stands up better to the Florida climate, elminating rust issues.

Do you offer a transponder system that works like E-pass?

 Yes!

Long range RFID readers can be placed at entrances to activate when credentials come near.

Do you offer a bar code scanner for residents entry?

Yes!

Do you charge for estimates/site evaluations?

No – they are FREE!

We do provide free estimates and free quotes for new installations.  However, a diagnosis of existing equipment in need of repair requires a service technician and is not free.
